James Bond doesn’t just kill, he kills with style.
Question: "What was Mr. Bond’s coolest kill?"
Scott's Answer: Either Bond throwing the toaster into the bathtub in Goldfinger ("Shocking") or tossing the key into the car in For Your Eyes Only which adds just enough weight to cause it to fall off the mountain on which it had been precariously balanced. Also Bond's first two kills in the opening minutes of Casino Royale. Very well done and a great introduction to a new Bond.
Andrew's Answer: When Bond shoots Professor Dent in Dr. No after calmly watching Dent grab his gun and try to unload on Bond. Without even flinching, Connery says, “That's a Smith & Wesson, and you've had your six.” Then he shoots him. Very cool.

I'll go along with Andrew's choice of Bond shooting Prof. Dent in DR. NO. Pretty brilliantly done and realistic.
My next choice would be Bond spear-gunning Vargas in THUNDERBALL. Perfectly, effortlessly cool, and topped by a killer quip that also completely works as believable dialogue in the conversation he's having with Domino, as they relax on the beach.
CASINO ROYALE's second of Bond's first two kills is a solid choice, as well.
Killing assassin Red Grant with his own garrote watch after an epic fight in the rail road compartment.
K, Good choice. That's a fantastic way to end that film and one of the best in the series.
Backthrow, The spear-gun killing is very symbolic of James Bond. It fits the series perfectly.
I have to go with the electrocution of Oddjob, using his own weapon (the blade in the brim of his hat) against him. Second is Red Grant with his own garrote watch. So you can see a bit of a pattern in my choices...
The very first Bond I saw in the theater as a child was Diamonds are Forever and the Blofeld copy's death at the beginning of the movie- death by burial in gallons upon gallons of hot mud has always stuck with me.
Roger Moore's most effective "old school Bond" moment in "The Spy Who Loved Me." "Where's Feckish?" and then he just flips his tie that the assasain was desperately holding on to.
Probably my favorite Moore moment of all time.
So I notice that no one's going for anything from "Die Another Day"...
Opening scene of Casino Royal. Something about smashing up a public restroom is intensely satisfying.
Moonraker, Hugo Drax gets ejected into space--still a fairly rarefied way for movie villains to go.
License to Kill when T-Dal lights up Sanchez with his own lighter. That's cold.
PDBronco, There is definite irony in your choices. :)
Shawn, That would be a miserable way to die.
PikeBishop, That was a good one.
5minutes, Was that a Bond film? I don't recall anyone dying except from anvils dropping on heads.
tryanmax, I'm not a fan of rest room scenes. Makes me want to shower. Blech.
I have the same response as "K" -- Red Grant. I liked the Kimodo Dragons in the new movie, also.
Jed, That was definitely a great kill.
I have only watched the Bond reboot (and that only a few weeks ago) but I agree that the two kills at the beginning of Casino Royale were AMAZING.
goldvermilion, They are definitely great work as action films go.
There's a difference between "Cool" and "Cold". The difference is on display in Casino Royale. The first kill we see is cold, pure cold. In fact, Daniel Craig became Bond with just two words: "Yes. Considerably." Damn, I got chills just typing that.
Now for "cool", I'd say that in the entire Bond revue, you'd be hard pressed to find a better example than later on in CR when Bond, having just saved the day at Miami airport, tricks the bad guy into blowing himself up. Of course, we don't see it; we just hear the explosion, see a flash, and watch as Bond breaks into a slight smile. Take that, Connery.
As an honourable mention, for an otherwise excrescent film, there's a pretty cold kill in Moonraker, when Bond steals the henchman's parachute. I mean, seriously, what's colder than stealing a 'chute from someone who's already jumped out of a perfectly good airplane?
tryanmax -- re:License to Kill You mean that Bond killed Sanchez with his Felix lighter?
Oh man, someone hit me for that.
