Summer of 70's

With June almost upon us, it's time to announce our plan for the summer. While Kit continues his Marvel series (I will chime in too), I have decided to focus Fridays on some of the best films of the 1970's. This is the Summer of 70's and these are films you should all see... assuming you haven't. This will include films like The French Connection, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 and The Bad News Bears. We'll hit upon science fiction, drama, comedy and paranoia. It will be fun. So put on your bell bottoms and grove along for the ride!

The 70's? Um...lacking a prefix, to which decade do you refer to, Andrew? :)

And if it be the Decade of Shame, will the focus be the period before or after KISS sold out?

Bring 'em on!

Pelham is a favorite and I actually just watched The French Connection again for the first time in years.

If I can think of a movie to review (now that I have a little more time on my hands), I'll let you know!

Rustbelt, You caught me! LOL! It will in fact be the 1870's! ;-)

Scott, Great! I've watched both again recently as well. Definitely let me know if you have something to review!

Wait, were there movies made before 1980?

Andrew -

Had I known, I would've saved my Parallax View review. And I know we talked about disaster movies a while back but I'm just not in the mood for those right now. :-) (Especially since there were so many!)

tryanmax, I believe there were 7 total, but 5 of those are pretty good! :D

Scott, I'm going to hit upon a couple.

The Parallax View would have fit well, but that's ok. We can do a page of "check out these reviews too."
