ReplyDeletegoldvermilion87, Excellent list! I definitely like contemporary country. I'm a big fan of Brooks and Dunn too. My favorite of theirs is "Lost and Found In a Border Town". And Alison Krause has an amazing voice!

ReplyDeleteIt's really too bad that Doug Supernaw imploded. He was great in concert - esp. smaller venues. They'd play all of their stuff, then start covering country and rock that they liked. Lots of fun!

I assume you are referring to the obligatory "I sing Country. You may not like Country but that's because your brain was fried by the city slicker rap type stuff. Real people listen to Country! Seriously. It's awesome and everybody knows it!" songs? Because those drive me NUTS! Yes, country sells more albums in America than any other genre because it speaks to the experience a larger group of people than Hip Hop does. STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.
