The difference is on display in Casino Royale. The first kill we see is cold, pure cold. In fact, Daniel Craig became Bond with just two words: "Yes. Considerably." Damn, I got chills just typing that.

Now for "cool", I'd say that in the entire Bond revue, you'd be hard pressed to find a better example than later on in CR when Bond, having just saved the day at Miami airport, tricks the bad guy into blowing himself up. Of course, we don't see it; we just hear the explosion, see a flash, and watch as Bond breaks into a slight smile. Take that, Connery.

As an honourable mention, for an otherwise excrescent film, there's a pretty cold kill in Moonraker, when Bond steals the henchman's parachute. I mean, seriously, what's colder than stealing a 'chute from someone who's already jumped out of a perfectly good airplane?Dave Olsonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059293386881623259.post-56061559204104458382013-09-05T19:20:20.115-04:002013-09-05T19:20:20.115-04:00goldvermilion, They are definitely great work as a...goldvermilion, They are definitely great work as action films go.AndrewPricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11312364467936820986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059293386881623259.post-18112186574809187602013-09-05T17:10:56.401-04:002013-09-05T17:10:56.401-04:00I have only watched the Bond reboot (and that only...I have only watched the Bond reboot (and that only a few weeks ago) but I agree that the two kills at the beginning of Casino Royale were AMAZING.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059293386881623259.post-62255794959947056242013-09-05T14:21:37.415-04:002013-09-05T14:21:37.415-04:00Jed, That was definitely a great kill.Jed, That was definitely a great kill.AndrewPricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11312364467936820986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059293386881623259.post-13614673972948933912013-09-05T13:43:21.691-04:002013-09-05T13:43:21.691-04:00I have the same response as "K" -- Red G...I have the same response as "K" -- Red Grant.
